About the Founder

Samuel Olatunji Okuku, born on October 10, 1990, in Erinmope Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria, is a Nigerian entrepreneur and football enthusiast. Born into a polygamous family, he is the youngest child of his mother, Mrs. Alice Tinuola. Samuel’s life is marked by resilience and a passion for football, which has shaped his journey from humble beginnings to founding the Tripple 44 Academy.

He is married to Morountodun Okuku, and together they have four children: Maxwell, Alex, Teniola, and Oyindamola.

Early Education and Achievements
Samuel began his education at L.A. Primary School in Erinmope Ekiti and later attended Adventist Comprehensive High School in Otun Ekiti. During his time at Adventist Comprehensive High School, he demonstrated exceptional football talent, becoming the first and only student to serve as Sports Prefect while still in Junior Secondary School 2 (JSS 2). This early recognition of his talent fueled his aspirations to play professional football.

Unfortunately, financial difficulties cut short his education in Senior Secondary School 2 (SS 2) in 2006, forcing him to leave school and work on the family farm to support himself and his family.

Life Journey and Career

Samuel’s passion for football faced an early challenge as his mother insisted on prioritizing education over his dreams of pursuing a professional football career. Despite her aspirations for him to attain higher education, financial constraints made this impossible. Nevertheless, his dream to work in football remained alive.

In 2008, Samuel relocated to Port Harcourt, where he worked as a domestic help for a family. Two years later, in 2010, he moved to Ibadan and took up a job in the public transportation system. His journey led him to Abeokuta, where he continued working in transportation while residing in areas such as Obantoko and Shomorin.

By 2012, Samuel returned to Ibadan and began nurturing his vision of building a football academy. Initially experimental, his efforts culminated in the establishment of the Tripple 44 Academy in 2017, fulfilling his lifelong dream of contributing to football development.
